SNOB BAR

REBRANDING PROJECT

REBRANDING PROJECT

THE SAME AS ALWAYS.

Inaugurated on November 16, 1964, in an old tannery, the Snob bar was founded by Paulo Guilherme D'Eça Leal, designer for the newspaper O Século, and bought by Adriano Oliveira in 1967. Its elegant, understated décor, inspired by English bar traditions, became a hub for intellectual discussions over generations. Located in Bairro Alto, it was a popular retreat for journalists and a meeting spot for political and cultural figures, who frequented it for a "Bife à Snob," croquettes, or the famous mango mousse.

The calm presence of Mr. Albino Oliveira, who joined in 1975 and worked there for over 40 years, and D. Maria, who managed the kitchen since 1967, ensured privacy and comfort for guests. The motto “what happens in Snob stays in Snob” was a guiding principle, as Mr. Albino became the keeper of patrons' stories, rivalries, and passions through the years.
